Izzy Zamora was born in Houston TX, as a youth athlete he was involved in all sports. He attended South Houston High School where he competed in the Track and Cross Country program. As a freshman, Izzy showed high hopes for the SoHo Track and Cross Country team by setting and breaking records with his impressive performances.

Izzy Zamora was born in Houston TX, as a youth athlete he was involved in all sports. He attended South Houston High School where he competed in the Track and Cross Country program. As a freshman, Izzy showed high hopes for the SoHo Track and Cross Country team by setting and breaking records with his impressive performances. At only the age of 17, Izzy competed with the U.S. National Men’s Track and Cross Country team at the Down and Under Bowl Games in Queensland, Australia in 2006. Izzy holds a 5K personal best of 15:45 and has ran races from 400m to 3200m on the track.
Izzy then transformed his ability of running and combined it with soccer which enabled him to become an explosive forward. His capacity to outrun opponents and score goals earned him a scholarship to play soccer for the University of Houston Victoria. Experiencing Club, Collegiate, Pro Combines, Izzy is now focusing on coaching and expanding new opportunities for young kids to chase their dreams in the world of soccer.
As a Soccer coach, Izzy is focused to take young talent to the next level. Coach Izzy is now a US soccer license coach holder and a head coach for U17 championship team.

Mark Turner was born in Pasadena, Texas and grew up playing multiple sports but soccer grew to be his favorite to play since the age of 4. He attended La Porte High School where he played soccer on Varsity all 4 years. He earned multiple awards while in HS and even earned a spot playing in the Senior All-Star game. Playing for the club Alliance and in HS helped his skills grow and earned a scholarship at San Jacinto College and then onto University of South Carolina – Aiken. While in college he earned All-Conference, All tournament and All region awards before heading to playing professional soccer in South Carolina (Greenville Lions USL Division 3) and Ohio (Cincinnati Riverhawks USL Division 2). He holds the record for most assist in program history at USC-Aiken and Peachbelt Conference record for most assists in one game. He finished playing professional soccer and before heading back to Texas he landed a college coaching job at Newberry College for one year, coaching Girls Soccer as the Assistant Coach.
Coach Turner has been coaching for over 20 years at the youth level. After graduating college Coach Turner became a soccer coach at Pasadena Memorial and eventually became the Head Girls Soccer coach at Pasadena Memorial HS. Stepping into an Administrator role at Deer Park HS allowed him to step away from High School coaching and into devoting his time to coaching his daughter and at the club level at DPSFC. Coach Turner holds a US Soccer National “D” coaching license.
Coach Turner loves to give back and teach the game of soccer to all players and anyone that wants to learn soccer.

Coach Javier played club soccer with Texas Rush Academy. His skills and capacity earned him a soccer scholarship to play for San Jacinto College. With his success playing at San Jacinto College, he earned the opportunity to play in the Premier Development League (PDL) with the Houston Dutch Lions. Eventually earning promotion to play in the United Soccer League (USL) with the Ohio, Dayton Dutch Lions.

Coach Victor was born in Pasadena, Tx. As a youth athlete, he developed a passion for soccer and long-distance running. He attended South Houston High School, where he played Varsity Soccer and ran Varsity Cross Country and Track. After High School, he attended the University of Houston Main Campus on an academic scholarship. After 3 years, he transferred to the University of Houston Clear Lake, where he finished his Bachelor of Science in Fitness and Human Performance. During his time at the University, he started volunteer coaching with the city of Pasadena. Coach Victor volunteer coached with the city of Pasadena for 4 years. During his time coaching with Pasadena, he coached players (boys and girls) ranging from 5-13 years old. After graduating from UH-Clear Lake, he started working with the Houston Dynamo as a Youth Programs Soccer Coach. He is currently in that coaching role, coaching youth players throughout Houston Dynamo’s various camps throughout Greater Houston. As partners with the Houston Dynamo, he also coaches players from Pearland Soccer through the Dynamo-PSC Pro Training Program. During his day job, he is an assistant cross-country coach and head boys’ soccer coach at Garcia MS in FBISD.

Coach Pete has coached at different levels of play since his Honorable discharge from the Marine Corps in 2008. With a grassroots license. Patience, consistency, and hard work is something he strongly believes in and stresses to his team. Pete has coached boys and girls at different ages in the south east area of Houston and surrounding areas. After joining DPSFC in 2022, Pete was selected to coach and assist with the competitive boys teams. Most recently Pete has been expanding his experience by coaching futsal teams, and preparing his team to play in more competitive divisions.

Ben Heck
Coach Ben has been involved with DPSFC in some form or fashion, almost since the beginning. Starting in 2018 as a 5U volunteer Assistant Coach, to currently coaching the 2016/2015 D.I.T. (Deer In Training) Academy team while also working on his US Soccer coaching license journey.
Ben has two boys that began their soccer life playing recreational soccer at DPSFC and now both are on the competitive teams in their age group. He found his love for soccer by watching his older brother play and eventually playing himself while being coached by his Dad. He is proud to carry on the tradition of father/son coaching while helping others fall in love with "the beautiful game."
When not playing soccer with his adult rec teams, you can usually find Coach Ben at the Deer Park Soccer Complex where he coaches, serves on the soccer board, and volunteers his time to help provide the community access to the great Deer Park Soccer Complex.

Not only having always played, his whole life has revolved around the sport. Wether playing, watching, studying, or coaching, soccer has always been a primary aspect of his life.
Mariano has coached both girls and boys and various age groups, as well as individual training to help single players develop skills to be useful in a team setting.

I find it very important to develop certain skills, as well as sportsmanlike conduct at a youth level to set the standard for the future.
