Building a Love for the Game from the Start
Our Grassroots program is designed in tandem with Recreational Soccer for our youngest players, ages 3–6, who are taking their very first steps into soccer. At this stage, the focus isn’t on competition, it’s about fun, exploration, and learning the basics of the beautiful game in the safe, encouraging environment we provide at Deer Park Soccer FC.

What to Expect:
- Age Groups: U4, U5, and U6
- Format: Weekly sessions focused on movement, coordination, and soccer fundamentals
- Environment: Small groups, engaging activities, and lots of smiles
Skills We Teach:
Our coaches use age-appropriate games and activities to help players develop:
- Basic ball control (dribbling, stopping, turning)
- Passing and shooting through fun games
- Teamwork and cooperation with peers
- Motor skills such as balance, agility, and coordination
- Confidence and creativity on the field
Why Grassroots Soccer Matters:
At this stage, it’s not about winning, it’s about developing a lifelong love of the game. Kids learn through play, which helps them stay active, build friendships, and develop a positive relationship with sports. We will build on player development with each passing season.
Parent Involvement:
Parents are an important part of the journey! Whether cheering on the sidelines or even helping out in sessions, your encouragement goes a long way in making soccer fun for your child.

Grassroots Coach & Trainers:
DPSFC has a dedicated Grassroots Coordinator who will work directly with the volunteer coaches to build & host weekly practices and be a resource for player and coach development.
